Clinical Drug Development (CDD or Klinisk läkemedelsutveckling)

Course content
The CDD course aims to provide a broad and deep understanding of how to develop drugs based on scientific, regulatory and ethical principles. Through the course, which is taught in English, the students will get knowledge of applicable regulations, as well as an insight in several specialty areas. Theory will be combined with practical exercises to best prepare students for their future profession.
The course finishes with designing a randomized controlled study and writing a full study protocol, in which the knowledge acquired during the course will be used.

Background
The course started in 1995 on the initiative of Pharmacia and since then over 20 courses have been given. Over 500 students have graduated and gotten positions as clinical trial managers, monitors, medical writers, regulatory affairs officer, sales / medical representatives etc.

Information
The course in Clinical Drug Development (CDD or Klinisk läkemedelsutveckling) is an independent university course of 30 credits. The Department of Medical Sciences is responsible for the course which is given in Uppsala.
 
Entry requirements

At least 180 credits within the disciplinary domains of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Applicants who wish to base their application on prior learning/work experience need to add a CV, references and a letter of motivation.

If you are not a citizen of an EU / EEA country or Switzerland you must pay application and tuition fees.
